SIMFEROPOL, October 30. /TASS/. An apartment in the village of Livadiya in the Crimean city of Yalta, which used to belong to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's wife Yelena before being nationalized, has been sold for 44.3 mln rubles ($470,450), well above the original listing price of 24.6 mln rubles ($264,064), according to data from the State Information System Torgi.
Two bids were made at auction, with the offer from Olga Nikolaevna Lipovetskaya being accepted. The auction was recognized as valid, and all bids are final.
According to open sources, Lipovetskaya is an entrepreneur from Moscow. She mainly works in real estate, but also dabbles in apartment renovation.
Zelensky’s 119.5 square meter (1281 square feet) apartment was nationalized in March 2023. In early October, it was put up for auction at an initial price of 24.6 million rubles. The apartment is located on the fifth floor, and its balcony overlooks the Black Sea and Livadia Palace. The press service of the Crimean Property Ministry told TASS that the regional authorities had not made any renovations on the apartment after it was transferred to the republic's ownership.
