MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia will continue efforts aimed at creating a single market of audit services in the Eurasian Economic Union and activities associated with recognition of audit opinions in friendly countries, according to draft guidelines of Russian financial market development in 2024 and the period of 2025-2026 prepared by the regulator.

The regulator believes that development of the institute of audit of financial market players’ reporting statements will facilitate improvement of information quality in the financial market and greater confidence of users in financial statements.

"The activity of the Bank of Russia in this direction will focus in 2024-2026 on procedures of authorizing audit firms to provision of such services, assessment of audit firms included in the register of the Bank of Russia by risk categories, and preparation of their individual supervision profile," the Central Bank noted.
