Turkmenistan to supply five bln cubic meters of gas to Russia in 2023
The Turkmengaz contract with Gazprom is effective until 2024
ASHGABAT, October 27. /TASS/. Turkmenistan will deliver five bln cubic meters of gas to Russia under the contract with Gazprom, Deputy CEO of Turkmengaz Murat Archaev told reporters.
"We have the experience of cooperating with Russia within the framework of supplies of the Turkmen natural gas to Russian markets," the senior executive said. "The contract was made recently - in 2019, the last one for gas supplies. The contract provides for the annual volume of about five bln cubic meters and the Turkmen side is honoring its undertaken commitments from year to year. The contract is therefore implemented in full scope and expected exports of the Turkmen natural gas to Russia this year are also planned with the volume of five bln cubic meters," Archaev noted.
The contract with Gazprom is effective until 2024. When answering the question about its renewal, Archaev noted that this is a commercial aspect not to be made public. "This is because there is confidential information within the framework of this contract," he added.
