Putin authorizes Bonum Capital to make deals with shares of Russian majors

The authorization was issued for 0.1% package of shares in Gazprom, 0.01% in Inter RAO, 0.04% in Lukoil, and 0.006% in Norilsk Nickel

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized Cyprus-based Bonum Capital to make transactions with minority stakes held by the company in Gazprom, Norilsk Nickel, Lukoil, and Inter RAO.

The President signed the relevant decree on October 26.

"To authorize performance of transactions entailing establishment, variation, termination or encumbrance of rights of possession, use and disposal of 24,186,128 ordinary shares in Gazprom, 10,000 ordinary shares in Norilsk Nickel, 1,312,900 ordinary shares in Inter RAO UES, and 30,530 ordinary shares in Lukoil held by Bonum Capital (Cyprus) Ltd)," the document reads.

The authorization was issued for 0.1% package of shares in Gazprom, 0.01% in Inter RAO, 0.04% in Lukoil, and 0.006% in Norilsk Nickel.

Putin banned certain transactions related to participation of foreigners from unfriendly countries in Russian companies by the decree of August 5, 2022. The restriction applies to transactions with securities held by them in Russian companies, including fuel and energy sector and production sharing agreements. Deals are possible only under a special permit.
