Mishustin expects to sign FTA agreement between Iran and EAEU by year end

BISHKEK, October 26. /TASS/. An agreement on a free trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Iran may be signed before the end of the year, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced.
"New opportunities for expanding trade and economic cooperation will open up in connection with the conclusion of a free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran. Negotiations on this project have been completed. We expect to sign the agreement before the end of this year," Mishustin said.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Iran has been an important partner of Russia for decades. He stressed that the countries are linked by relations of friendship, good neighborliness and partnership, which are based on the principles of mutual respect and unconditional consideration of each other's interests.
