ISTANBUL, October 24. /TASS/. The roadmap for creating an international gas hub in Turkey could be implemented before the end of the year, a source in Turkish diplomatic circles told TASS.
"An agreement has been reached between the Turkish Energy Ministry and Gazprom on drawing up and signing a roadmap for the project, which will allow us to start taking practical steps towards its implementation. This could happen before the end of the year," the source said.
At the Russian Energy Week in Moscow in October, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar discussed the creation of an international gas hub on Turkish territory. Following the negotiations, they expressed optimism that the project roadmap would be signed soon.
