Sber becomes world’s third acquirer by number of transactions
Sber has at the same time showed the highest growth rate for the number of transaction among leaders of the rating, +11% vs. 4% with J.P. Morgan and 8% with Worldpay from FIS
MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Sberbank has become the third world’s largest acquirer as regards the number of processed transactions, according to the version of The Nilson Report, the credit institution said.
Sberbank processed 42.1 bln transactions in 2022, as indicated in The Nilson Report. The 150 Largest Merchant Acquirers Worldwide. The share of the bank stood at 9% among the 150 leading global acquirers. Sberbank managed to lower the gap with the nearest competitor, Worldpay from FIS, from 6% to 3%.
