The young man pointed out the intensive development of the local agricultural sector

HAIKOU /China/, May 5. /TASS/. Hainan's dynamic development offers foreigners many opportunities for employment and a comfortable life, said a Russian national who has been living in the southern Chinese province for six years.

"Hainan has been dynamically developing for the last several years and I was privileged to observe these changes. I am really happy now and hope that here in [the province's administrative center in] Haikou I will be able to realize my dreams and plans," the Hainan International Communication Network (HICN) quotes a young man from the Russian Federation as saying.

The Russian said that in his spare time he travels around the province on a scooter and blogs about his experiences. One of the places where he lived was the city of Qionghai on the east coast of Hainan. The young man has drawn attention to the intensive development of the local agricultural sector and rural communities.

"When I first came to Hainan, the village of Shamei [administratively belonging to Qionghai] had just begun a rural revitalization program. Since then, I have seen many changes, it is an example of China's ongoing successful modernization of agrarian areas," he said. The Russian filmed a video about Shamei, which won third place in an international short video contest organized by the People's Daily newspaper.

On April 13, 2018, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced the establishment of an experimental free trade zone and port on Hainan. The goal of the program is to bring the island into the process of globalization and international labor distribution, laying a solid foundation for innovation. Local authorities are creating an attractive environment for investors and developing research and production infrastructure. According to the government plan, by 2025 the entrepreneurial environment in the province will reach cutting-edge levels according to national standards, and in 2050 the region will become a unique international cluster with an advanced economy, housing the campuses of leading universities, advanced laboratories and the headquarters of global corporations.
