MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Novatek ramped up liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports by 60% to 2.97 bln cubic meters in the first quarter of 2023, the Russian gas producer reported on Wednesday.

Gas production in the reporting period gained 1.2% and reached 20.88 bln cubic meters. Production of hydrocarbons moved up by 18% to 163 mln barrels of oil equivalent.

"LNG sales on international markets stood at 2.978 bln cubic meters, having showed the increase by 60%," the company said.

Novatek also increased oil and condensate production in the first quarter by 4.3% to 3.08 mln metric tons.
