Russian stock indices in the green on Monday — market data
The ruble-denominated MOEX Russia Index gained 1.55% to 2,547.35 points
MOSCOW, April 10. /TASS/. The Russian stock market ended the trading session on Orthodox Fig Monday in the green, according to data from the Moscow Exchange.
The ruble-denominated MOEX Russia Index gained 1.55% to 2,547.35 points. The dollar-denominated RTS Index moved up by 0.96% to 983.86 points.
The dollar grew by 0.6% to 81.61 rubles. The euro lost 0.07% to 88.85 rubles. The yuan added 0.31% to 11.849 rubles.
"The international environment was relatively calm. Oil prices continued cruising near the $85 [per barrel] level. Most commodities showed a downward trend. Key European exchanges were closed today in connection with the Roman Catholic Easter," Alexander Bakhtin from BCS Investment World said.
March inflation data for China are expected to be released on Tuesday. "The IMF and World Bank conference will continue; and there could be important statements made on its sidelines," the analyst adds.
BCS Investment World expects the MOEX Russia Index to be somewhere in the ballpark of 2,450-2,570 tomorrow. Freedom Finance Global predicts the target range of the Index to be between 2,500-2,600 points.
