Sales of new cars and LCVs in Russia fall by 44.7% in Q1 — AEB

In March, 48,414 cars were sold, which is 10.6% lower than the figure for March of 2022

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Sales of new passenger cars and LCVs (light commercial vehicles) in Russia in the Q1 of 2023 decreased by 44.7% year-on-year and amounted to 153,477 vehicles, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said on Thursday.

"In Q1 of 2023, sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia, as reported by the official manufacturers/distributors, decreased by 44,7% compared to the same period in 2022 or by 123,855 sold units, and amounted to 153,477 cars," according to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC).

In March, 48,414 cars were sold, which is 10.6% lower than the figure for March of 2022.
