Zimbabwe's senate speaker invites Russian business to partake in republic’s development
It is noted that the fourth meeting of the Russian-Zimbabwean intergovernmental commission on economic, trade and science-technical cooperation "clearly demonstrates a very close interaction between the two countries"
MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. President of the Senate of the Zimbabwean Parliament Mabel Chinomona has invited Russian businessmen to participate in the development of the republic’s economy.
"Considering the close ties between our countries, we invite Russian businessmen to participate in this active transformation of our country," she said at a plenary meeting of the Federation Council on Wednesday.
"In order to keep strengthening our economic ties, we sincerely expect more Russian business delegations to arrive in Zimbabwe with the support of the Russian-Zimbabwean business forum and to partake in various areas of work, particularly on production of fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, equipment for heavy engineering," the speaker said.
The fourth meeting of the Russian-Zimbabwean intergovernmental commission on economic, trade and science-technical cooperation "clearly demonstrates a very close interaction between the two countries," she noted. "In this respect I hope very much that the Russian-Zimbabwean business council that is being created now, will go to considerable lengths in terms of improving economic cooperation between our countries. It is necessary to keep strengthening economic ties for the benefit of our people," Chinomona concluded.
