Russia's exports of pharmaceuticals down 52% in 2022, imports up 16.3% — customs service

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Russia's exports of pharmaceutical goods dropped by 52% in 2022 to $1.28 bln, while imports grew by 16.3% to $16 bln, according to figures released by the Federal Customs Service on Monday.

Total foreign trade turnover increased by 8.1% in 2022 to $850.5 bln, with exports up by 19.9% to $591 bln, while imports down by 11.7% to $259 bln. The highest growth of exports in value terms was demonstrated by metals (up by up to 477%), fertilizers (+54%) and silk (+118% to $0.4 mln).
