Russian retailers ready to enter Dubai market — newspaper
The first outlets may open in the fall
MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Several Russian retailers, including the 12 storeez clothes chain and the L’Etoile cosmetics chain, are ready to enter the market of Dubai, the Izvestiya newspaper said on Sunday, citing the Union of Shopping Centers.
First points of sale can be opened as early as at the start of fall, the Union said. Formats of stores will be similar to the ones in Russian shopping centers.
"The Russian business and many our compatriots are already working in Dubai and the entry into this market will be logical and rational from the standpoint of development of companies. Furthermore, the record high number of Russian companies opened offices there last year," Vice President of the Union of Shopping Centers Pavel Lyulin said.
Such domestic brands as Lichi, Sodamoda, Nikita Efremov, Post Meridiem, and Belle YOU are already present on the UAE market, CEO of Fashion Consulting Group Anna Lebsak-Kleimans told Izvestiya.
