Jade bracelets, pendants and titanium products are on display at the demonstration and sales area

HAIKOU /China/, March 10. /TASS/. The largest industrial park of jewelry in China's Sanya city (southern Hainan province) officially started its work. This was reported by the Nanguo Metropolis Daily.

The park is located in the business district of the Phoenix International Airport. It featured modern processing zones, facilities for product demonstration, jewelry sales and techniques for processing precious metals and stones.

The park itself, according to the newspaper, was a testament to the new format of "tourism plus industrial park." The demonstration and sales area features jade bracelets, pendants, titanium products and many other samples of jewelry.

"Product demonstrations, educational information and sales are integrated. We aim to create a new tourist brand of the free trade port in Hainan," the publication quoted Park President Zuo Guanghui as saying. The park's administration expects about 2,000 people to visit it daily.

Key industrial parks are an important part of the project to build a free trade port in Hainan. It's program was published in June 2020 and it foresees the transformation of the island into a special customs zone. The national government expects to have completed the free port as a whole by 2025, by which time the island should have a free trade and investment system in place.

By 2035, the free port and its model will become more solid. By this time, it is planned to ensure freedom of trade and investment, cross-border movement of capital, entry and exit of people, and freight traffic on the Island of Hainan.
