Rosneft CEO discusses energy cooperation with Cuban leaders
The Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel thanked "all Russian regions that are doing their best to move forward with the understanding of the situation in Cuba"
HAVANA, March 5. /TASS/. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has received visiting executive director of Russia’s oil major Rosneft Igor Sechin to discuss issues of energy cooperation between Cuba and Russia, the press service of the Cuban government said on Sunday.
"First Secretary of the Communist Party Central Committee and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez received <…> Igor Sechin, executive director of the Russian oil company Rosneft," it said. "[Sechin] exchange views with Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz on issues of relations between the countries, especially in the energy sector."
The Cuban president thanked "all Russian regions that are doing their best to move forward with the understanding of the situation in Cuba."
From Cuba, Sechin will go to Venezuela to attend a commemorative ceremony on the anniversary of the death of former President Hugo Chavez.
