China’s coal imports from Russia through main border checkpoint up three times
Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli is a major logistics center and transport corridor on the land border between Russia and China

China’s coal imports from Russia through the main border crossing point Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli climbed more than three times in first 40 days of this year, Russia’s Consulate-General in Harbin (the administrative center of Heilongjiang Province) reported via its Telegram channel on Monday.
Coal supplies soared 214% in the reporting period to over 438,000 tons, the diplomatic mission said, adding that China received a total of 6,200 cars with coal from Russia.
"Russian coal is used for production of electricity and head in the provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning (northeast China - TASS) and in the eastern part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region [north China]," the mission added.
Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli is a major logistics center and transport corridor on the land border between Russia and China. In 2022, over 15 mln tons of cargoes were delivered through it.
