Share of EAEU in Russia's foreign trade reaches around 10% in 2022

At the end of 2021, the European Union accounted for 35.9% of Russian trade turnover (in 2020 - 33.8%), APEC countries - for 33.3% (33.8%), CIS countries - 12.2% (12.9%), and EAEU countries - 8.8% (9.1%)

MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. The share of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in Russia’s foreign trade in 2022 reached around 10%, which is 1 p.p. more than in 2021, the press service of the Russian Federal Customs Service told TASS.

"In 2022, the EAEU countries accounted for about 10% of Russian trade turnover in the country structure of Russia's foreign trade, which is 1 p.p. more than in 2021. Russia's main trading partners were Belarus and Kazakhstan. They accounted for 90% of Russia's trade turnover with the EAEU countries," the ministry said.

"Like in 2021, the major export goods included fuel and energy products, machinery and equipment, metals and metal products, and imports consisted of machinery and equipment, food products, and metals and metal products," the Federal Customs Service said.
