MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. The head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry stands for creation of a project management office to support industrial cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

"The new structure in the ideal model will consolidate and then present the position of the EAEU countries’ business and proposals on cooperative projects on the floor of the Eurasian Economic Commission. It is proposed to set up a project management office in the simple partnership form. Chambers of EAEU member-states will act as members. Such format does not require establishing a legal entity and associated financial costs," Katyrin told TASS.

The advisory board of EAEU countries’ chambers will discuss these proposals shortly.

The decision was made in 2022 to launch the mechanism of subsidized financing of cooperative projects within the EAEU, Katyrin noted. Since 2024, this support measure will be in effect to assist in developing of existing joint projects and stimulating industrial companies to launch new ones, he added.
