MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. The Central Bank does not see serious adverse changes for the national economy in 2023, Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said on Friday at the press conference after the Board meeting.

"As regards the assessment of the situation in prospects, from my point of view, quick adaptability of the economy and market subjects played a significant role in resilience of the Russian economy, further to the fact of the rise in export prices for Russian goods," she said. "We do not see any serious adverse changes for 2023," Nabiullina added.

The Central Bank is pursuing the independent monetary policy and the government understands importance of price stability for the country’s economic development, the Chairperson of the Bank of Russia noted.

"We are pursuing our monetary policy independently and make decisions on the key rate on our own. From my point of view, this is the only way to keep control over inflation. The government clearly understands significance of price stability for economic development," Nabiullina added.
