MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. Polymetal, Russia’s largest silver producer and a leading gold producer, considers China to be an attractive market for its products, Chief Executive Officer Vitaly Nesis told TASS on Thursday.

"China remains an attractive outlet that we are looking at all the time, let’s put it like that. This is an interesting market, but I will repeat: why take products somewhere else if they are [purchased] more and easier in Russia," he said.

Nesis said during a conference call focusing on the results of 2022 earlier that the domestic market might become much more attractive than global markets this year, adding though that last year Polymetal exported most of its gold to Asia.

Polymetal is one of the world’s top ten gold producers and ranks among the five biggest silver manufacturers. Its assets are located in Russia and Kazakhstan. The company owns ten operating gold and silver deposits and a portfolio of development projects.
