Russian PM calls for developing EAEU’s joint technological production
Mikhail Mishustin emphasized that it is necessary to ensure the technological sovereignty of the five nations
ALMATY, February 3. /TASS/. The launch of joint high-tech production sites in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is particularly important in the current environment, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on Friday, adding that it is necessary to provide enterprises of the Union’s member states with access to special subsidized financing.
"Under the current conditions, the opening of joint high-tech production sites is becoming particularly important," he said. At the latest meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the presidents of the five countries agreed to create a new mechanism for subsidized financing of industrial cooperation, which will allow supporting breakthrough multilateral projects using the Union’s budget, the premier noted.
"It is necessary for ensuring the technological sovereignty of the five nations. It is necessary to make such help available to our enterprises and more actively attract development institutions to it as soon as possible," Mishustin emphasized.
