Shell’s 2022 income attributable to shareholders doubles to record $40 bln — company

The company's revenue for the year increased by 45%, to $381 billion

MOSCOW, February 2. /TASS/. Shell’s adjusted earnings (income attributable to shareholders) have doubled year on year in 2022 and reached a record $39.87 billion, according to the Anglo-Dutch company’s financial report released on Thursday.

In the fourth quarter, adjusted earnings grew by 47%, to $9.45 billion. Shell's revenue for the year increased by 45%, to $381 billion, revenue for the fourth quarter amounted to $101 billion, which is 18% higher than a year earlier.

Shell brings together energy and petrochemical companies operating in more than 70 countries around the world. The Nederland Centraal Instituut Voor Giraal Effectenverkeer controls 44.1% of Shell’s shares.
