BELGRADE, January 28. /TASS/. Russia guarantees Serbia's energy stability and security amid the crisis in Europe, the country’s Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Dedovic Negre said during a meeting with Russia’s Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.
"The Russian Federation is our vital energy partner, and in these difficult times, the importance of constructing the Balkan Stream gas pipeline, which contributes to Serbia's energy stability and security, cannot be overstated," she said.
She further emphasized that, thanks to Russia, regardless of the energy crisis that Europe is experiencing, Serbian residents can count on an ongoing supply of all oil products.
In turn, Russian Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko said he hopes that the countries' energy cooperation will continue in the future. He stated that the Russian side is interested in assisting Serbia in the development of energy infrastructure, as well as in Russian enterprises participating in upgrading energy facilities.
