Gazprombank to halt cross-border transfers in dollars from January 27 — Bank

All the commitments towards clients are honored in full scope in all currencies

MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. Gazprombank will halt cross-border money transfers in dollars in view of unilateral restrictions from JPMorgan Chase Bank and Bank of New York Mellon, while servicing of deposits and accounts in dollars will continue, the credit institution’s press service said.

"In view of unilateral decisions of US financial institutions, servicing of correspondent accounts of Gazprombank in US Dollars with JPMorgan Chase Bank and Bank of New York Mellon will end. In this regard, we ask clients not to use Gazprombank for cross-border transfers in US Dollars, starting from January 27 onward. Gazprombank will continue servicing deposits and accounts in US Dollars and cross-border transfers in other currencies," the Bank said.

"All the commitments towards clients are honored in full scope in all currencies; legal entities and individuals have the continuous access to their funds and services," Gazprombank added.
