ASHGABAT, January 19. /TASS/. Gazprom is continuing its talks with China on construction of the Soyuz-Vostok gas pipeline via Mongolia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.
"We definitely consider this project as a major one within the framework of developing cooperation with our partners, with the People’s Republic of China. All the required activities are underway, talks between Gazprom and Chinese partners continue. As you are aware, the feasibility study and the design of the gas pipeline via Mongolia are being implemented. In other words, this is a very promising project and we believe that with the growth of gas consumption, it will be in demand," Novak said.
