Igor Levitin called for creating mechanisms to overcome the sanctions-related restrictions in the currency and banking spheres

MOSCOW, January 17. /TASS/. Russian companies are ready to launch joint production of various machinery with Iran, including cars, helicopters and agricultural equipment, the Tasnim News Agency said on Tuesday, citing visiting Russian presidential aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin.

According to the agency, Levitin met with Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mohber and also stressed Russia’s readiness for cooperation in the sphere of supplies of food and articles of daily necessity to the countries of the region.

Earlier on Tuesday, Levitin held talks with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani to exchange views on the West’s sanctions policy against Russia and Iran. "Unilateral sanctions provoke escalation of both regional and global crises," the agency cited Shamkhani as saying. Levitin, in turn, called for creating mechanisms to overcome the sanctions-related restrictions in the currency and banking spheres.

The Russian presidential aide’s visit to Tehran was reported by the IRNA news agency on Tuesday.
