Inter RAO does not see prospects for electricity export to Baltic States

In late May, the company received a notice from the Nord Pool exchange about the suspension of electricity trading on the European market

UFA, December 7. /TASS/. No prospects are currently in place to resume electricity export to Finland and Baltic States, chief executive of Inter RAO Boris Kovalchuk told reporters on Wednesday.

"Yes, markets of Finland and Baltic States are gone and there are no prospects for the return at the moment. The price hike we see is one of results of electricity supplies halted by Inter RAO," the top manager said.

In late May, the company received a notice from the Nord Pool exchange about the suspension of electricity trading on the European market. Exports to Baltic States were stopped in this regard.
