Russian energy companies ready cooperate with China in all areas — Rosneft CEO
According to Igor Sechin, the strategic decision to pivot to the East is the outcome of internal development and comprehension of global dynamics, rather than pressure from the West
MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russian energy companies are ready to submit proposals to their Chinese partners in all key areas of cooperation in the fuel and energy complex, CEO of Rosneft Igor Sechin said at the 4th Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum.
"Traditionally, our organization has played an essential part in the strategic shift to the East. We have always advocated for comprehensive collaboration with Chinese partners across the whole technological chain, including exploration and production, processing, power generation, and sales on potential markets, including sales through retail networks. Such collaboration typically entails exchanging shares, creating joint ventures, equipment supplies, and technological collaboration. At this point, Russian energy businesses are prepared to present proposals to Chinese partners in all essential areas of such vertical partnership, including coal, gas, oil, power, and cooperation through Rosatom," he said.
According to Sechin, the strategic decision to pivot to the East is the outcome of internal development and comprehension of global dynamics, rather than pressure from the West.
