Gazprom intends to mothball equipment for Nord Stream pipelines

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Gazprom was allowed to inspect the sites of the Nord Stream blasts and already found the corresponding damage to the gas pipelines

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Gazprom is going to mothball gas pumping equipment at the Portovaya and Slavyanskaya compressor stations, which supplied gas to the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, Kommersant reported on Monday.

Upon discontinuation, all equipment will be left at the stations, and if necessary, it will be launched in a short time, one of the sources told the newspaper. Gazprom declined to comment on the information.

On September 27, Nord Stream AG reported the unprecedented destruction of three lines along the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 offshore gas pipelines. On September 26, Swedish seismologists recorded two explosions along the pipeline routes. Following the damage to this conduit, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office launched an investigation based on charges of international terrorism.
