Demand 64.83% above supply during wheat trading session in Egypt

It is reported that twelve thousand metric tons of Russian wheat were offered for trading at a price of $398 per metric ton

CAIRO, November 28. /TASS/. The demand was 64.83% above the supply during the first Russian wheat trading session at the Egypt’s mercantile exchange, the country’s Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade said on Monday.

"During the first operating day of the mercantile exchange, the demand for wheat imported from Russia was 64.83% above the initial offer of the Ministry during the trading session," the Ministry said, cited by the Al-Youm Al-Sabia news portal.

Twelve thousand metric tons of Russian wheat were offered for trading at a price of $398 per metric ton, the Ministry said. Twenty eight bids were received and eighteen effective contracts were concluded. The next trading session of this kind will be staged on November 30.
