MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. The authorities of Kazakhstan will do everything to protect Russia’s investments, the republic’s president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in a video address to participants of the forum of transregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Orenburg on Monday.

"Russian investments in Kazakhstan are on the rise each year, and we will do everything possible to protect Russian investments and attract as much of them as possible to our economy," he said.

The Kazakh president also considers it necessary to speed up the upgrade of logistic chains.

"The inflow of direct investments from Russia to Kazakhstan last year surpassed the pre-pandemic level by more than one third, going above $1.9 bln. Meanwhile, the Kazakh investments to Russia rose by 34% to $535 mln. That said, the potential for expansion of the trade and economic cooperation between our countries is huge," he emphasized.
