Minister upbeat on domestic IT prospects, points to many specialists staying in Russia

YAKUTSK, November 25. /TASS/. Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev noted on Friday that the outflow of IT workers from Russia wasn’t too high, nor did it inflict any serious harm to the industry.

"I think the scale of the outflow (of IT workers from Russia - TASS) wasn’t so significant. It hasn’t done any irreparable damage to the industry. And in general, the mechanisms that exist <...> primarily an abundance of interesting work and many exciting projects, as I have said, has motivated many of them to stay and work inside the country," he said at the Digital Diamond conference.

He said IT companies are successfully developing in Russia.

"Their business isn’t bad, they feel good, raising salaries, creating the right conditions for employees, motivating them to keep working. So, I’m optimistic about the future," Shadayev said.
