Rostec CEO discloses revenues from non-defense products totaled $14.9 bln in 2021

As of the end of 2021, the share of non-defense products stood at 45.5% or about 900 bln rubles from the total revenues

MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. The share of non-defense products in Rostec amounted to 45.5% of the corporation’s total output or about 900 bln rubles ($14.9 bln) in 2021, CEO of the Russian state-run corporation Sergey Chemezov told TASS in an interview on the occasion of the company’s 15th anniversary.

"The government defense order shaped the greater portion of revenues in 2009, while the company’s losses were about 60 bln rubles ($990.5 mln). As of the end of 2021, the share of non-defense products stood at 45.5% or about 900 bln rubles from the total revenues. Non-defense products will continue growing in money terms this year, but their portion will inch down because of the rise in the government’s defense order. We intend to maintain the level of 35-40%," Chemezov said.

The top company executive confirmed plans stipulating the figure of 50% for Rostec’s non-defense sector in 2025. He also added that carrying out civilian products is no less important for the company than carrying out defense ones.
