During their official Argentina tour, the delegation from the Rostov Region held around 15 meetings with members of the business community and local authorities
BUENOS AIRES, November 21. /TASS/. Officials and businessmen from Argentina have indicated that they seek cooperation with Russia in the production of seeds and agriculture equipment, First Deputy Governor of Russia’s Rostov Region Viktor Goncharov said following a visit to the South American nation.
"We would like to partake in global cooperation focused on cultivating seeds and manufacturing agriculture equipment. We invite you to localize the production of agriculture equipment in the Rostov Region. There are those interested both in the area of equipment and seeds," he told reporters.
Goncharov expects cooperation with Argentina to enable an accelerated selection of seeds. "We are located in different parts of the Earth. [When] they have winter, we have summer. And we can accelerate the selection to avoid any time loss: they have their harvest of grain crops, yet ours is finished in June," he noted.
During their official Argentina tour, the delegation from the Rostov Region held around 15 meetings with members of the business community and local authorities, the official added. "The attitude towards Russia is friendly. Ordinary people demonstrate it the most. Yet, officials take a cautious approach as usual, though they also offer cooperation," he concluded.
