MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Russia and Turkey are in talks to resolve the situation with the so-called dual "citizenship" of Russian aircraft, Deputy Transport Minister Igor Chalik told reporters on Thursday.

According to him, the Turkish aviation authorities have requested some information from Russia, which the Russian authorities plan to provide this week.

"We have discussed it [with the Turkish aviation authorities]. They asked us for some additional information," Chalik said.

The restrictions imposed by foreign states on air traffic with Russia are primarily related to the ban on flights of aircraft of Russian airlines with "dual registration," when the aircraft is "registered" both in the foreign register and in the domestic one, the Transport Ministry explained earlier.

Earlier, it was reported that starting November 1, Russian aircraft with "dual registration" are banned from crossing Turkish airspace.
