MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. The number of Russian authors in TikTok plummeted in October 2022 by 74% against the like period last year to 1.4 mln, Brand Analytics says in its research seen by TASS.

"TikTok demonstrates the greatest decline by authors (minus 74%) and by the content volume - minus 71%," the research reads.

Posted messages in TikTok also fell by 26.5 mln to 2.5 mln in October 2022.

"The record high drop was the consequence of self-censorship announced by the social network in view of risks associated with the law on fake news. TikTokers are looking for their places on other platforms, such as VK Clips or Telegram," researchers say.
