Kremlin says there are positive developments concerning grain deal’s future

MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. There are positive developments in the preparation of the grain deal extension, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, noting that previous agreements have to be fully implemented.

"These days, work is being done to ensure that the part of the so-called Black Sea grain deal that involves our supplies is resolved," he said. According to him, "There have been some promising advancements, but it is critical that the previously established accords are implemented in full."

Agreements on food exports from Ukraine were signed on July 22 for a period of 120 days until November 19, with an automatic extension for another 120 days if none of the parties (Russia, the UN, Ukraine, and Turkey) object. Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin told reporters that the issue of extending the grain deal was still being worked out.
