Flights from Moscow to Mongolian capital can be resumed, says Deputy Prime Minister

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. Flights from Moscow to the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, can be resumed, consultations on this issue are underway, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko told reporters following a meeting of the Russian-Mongolian intergovernmental commission.

"Let me remind you that in the pre-pandemic period there were six such flights from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar, and we would very much like to resume direct flights with the capital of Mongolia. Our colleagues heard our request, and we have agreed to continue consultations on this," she said.

"So far, it is about opening regional airports, such as Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude [to establish] their direct communication with Ulaanbaatar Bator. We would very much like to restore direct flights to Moscow as well," Abramchenko added.
