Sollers to restart automobile plant in Vladivostok after Mazda’s exit — press service
It is reported that Sollers will buy out the stake of Mazda in the joint venture and restart the plant with a new model line in the next year
MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Sollers Auto intends to restart the automobile plant in Vladivostok and begin producing a new model line after buying the share of Mazda Motor in the joint venture, the Russian company’s press service told TASS on Friday.
Mazda Motor made the decision earlier to terminate operations in Russia and transfer its share in the joint venture in Vladivostok to Sollers Auto. The relevant agreement was signed on October 24. The transaction price was 1 euro.
"Sollers will buy out the stake of Mazda in the joint venture and restart the plant with a new model line in the next year. All the required authorizations for the transaction from the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the government commission have already been received," the press service informed.
