Eastern Range upgrade allocations to total $4.1 bln in 2023 — Transport Minister

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. A total of 250 bln rubles ($4.1 bln) will be allocated for implementation of the second development phase of the Eastern Range [Baikal-Amur and Trans-Siberian railways - TASS] in 2023, Russian Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev said at the meeting held by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"Allocations to implement projects of the mainline infrastructure upgrade and expansion comprehensive plan amount to 440 bln rubles ($7.2 bln) or more than 40% of investment program volumes, of which 250 bln rubles will be provided for development of the second phase of the Eastern Range," the Minister said.
The throughput capacity at the Eastern Range will reach 173 mln metric tons in 2023, Savelyev added.
