MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. Generating company Unipro improved its EBITDA forecast for 2022 to 38-40 bln rubles ($612-644 mln), the company reported on Thursday.

It was clarified that the new forecast was influenced by the growth of the electricity margin as a result of increased energy consumption and high prices in the day-ahead market.

In January-September 2022, Unipro generating company received 5.14 bln rubles ($82.7 mln) of net profit under IFRS, which is 2.4 times less than the figure for the same period last year. At the same time, revenue for nine months increased by 21.8%, to 77.63 bln rubles ($1.25 bln). EBITDA increased by 46% to 32.06 bln rubles ($517.24 mln).

The company’s operating profit decreased 2.6-fold to 5.88 bln rubles ($94.9 mln), while profit before taxes reached 6.4 bln rubles ($103.2 mln) against 15.54 bln rubles ($250.88 mln) a year earlier.

Capital expenditures of Unipro decreased 2.4-fold year-on-year and reached 3.3 bln rubles ($53.27 mln).

Unipro unites five thermal power plants with a total capacity of 11,235 MW. 83.73% of Unipro shares belong to the international energy concern Uniper SE.
