Russia’s manufacturing PMI index down to 50.7 points in October
It is reported that cost inflation at Russian manufacturing firms picked up pace for the second successive month during October
MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. The S&P Global Russia Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) fell to 50.7 points in October 2022 from 52 points in the previous month, S&P Global analytical agency reported on Tuesday.
"The latest index reading signaled only a marginal improvement in the health of the Russian manufacturing sector and one that was the slowest since July," the report said.
The PMI value above 50 points is indicative of the business activity growth and the value below the said level flags its slowdown.
Cost inflation at Russian manufacturing firms picked up pace for the second successive month during October, analysts said, adding that hikes in input costs were also due to higher logistics, transportation, supplier and imported goods prices.
