BRUSSELS, October 30. /TASS/. The EU calls on Russia to reconsider the decision to suspend its participation in the Ukrainian grain export deal, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrel said on Sunday.

"The EU urges Russia to revert its decision," he wrote on Twitter.

According to Borrell, "Russia’s decision to suspend participation in the Black Sea deal puts at risks the main export route of much needed grain and fertilisers to address the global food crisis."

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that due to the fact that the Kiev regime, guided by British experts, had carried out a terrorist attack against the Black Sea Fleet and civilian vessels involved in securing the grain corridor, Russia decided to suspend participation in the implementation of agreements on the export of Ukrainian food. Earlier, the ministry reported that the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack involving nine drones and seven marine autonomous surface vehicles. All of them were destroyed.

For his part, Russian Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said on Saturday that Russia, with Turkey’s participation, is ready to supply the poorest countries with free of charge up to 500,000 tons of grain in the coming four months.
