Another Kyrgyz bank suspends service of Russian Mir cards
A total 22 commercial banks operate on the republic’s territory now
BISHKEK, October 28. /TASS/. The Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank (KICB) has suspended the service of Russian Mir cards, according to a statement released on its website.
"We notify that the bank will temporarily suspend service of cards of MIR payment system from October 27, 2022," the statement said.
Since this September commercial banks, including Bank of Asia, Halyk Bank, DemirBank, Kyrgyzstan, Kompanion, Bakai Bank, as well as the state-owned Aiyl Bank and Doscredobank, have announced the refusal to work with Mir cards in Kyrgyzstan.
A total 22 commercial banks operate on the republic’s territory now. Some of them did not work with Mir cards earlier as well. At the moment RSK Bank, Capital Bank, Keremet Bank, Optima Bank, Tolubay Bank, Bai-Tushum and Kyrgyzkommertsbank continue accepting Mir cards in Kyrgyzstan.
