No need for nationalization in Russia, Putin says
Funds should be allocated for the main goal of improving the country’s welfare
MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. There is no need to implement nationalization in Russia, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
"People of communist views believe everything should be nationalized again, made state-owned again, and so on. It is difficult to say how efficient this is. In certain points and somewhere, in a certain specific historical situation, we also do not reject this. We even have a law on nationalization but we do not perform this. No need at all. We assume the most efficient instruments of country’s development should be used, market-based principles, but certainly under control of the state and the state power, under control of the nation," the head of state said.
Funds should be allocated for the main goal of improving the country’s welfare, Putin added.
