MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. The like-for-like cars production in Russia plummeted by 65.9% year-on-year in January-September 2022 to 349,000 vehicles, Russia’s Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) reports.

In September 2022, the car output lost 77.4% annually to 23,800 units.

In January-September 2022, production of trucks edged down by 20.4% year-on-year to 103,400. The output in September fell by 33.8% to 11,700.

Production of buses with the weight above 5 tonnes moved down by 12.2% annually to 8,800 in the reporting period and by 21.1% in September to 1,100 units.

The output of buses with the weight below 5 tonnes swamped by 44.7% annually to 8,500. In September 2022, 1,100 buses were produced, with the drop by 51.4% in annual terms.
