Russia ready to help restore unified energy system of Central Asia — Putin

ASTANA, October 14. /TASS/. Russia is ready to provide practical assistance in restoring the unified energy system of Central Asia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

"In particular, our country is ready to provide practical assistance in restoring the unified energy system of Central Asia, which, of course, will increase the energy security of all countries in the region," he said at the first Russia-Central Asia summit in Astana.

According to Putin, prospects are also opening up in areas such as expanding oil transportation routes, as well as joint development of energy resources in the Caspian Sea, providing affordable and clean gas motor fuel, building and expanding pipelines, boosting coal trade and transporting it to Asian markets.

"The introduction of information technologies and the use of artificial intelligence, as well as the development of border checkpoints for the seamless transportation of goods and cargo, can significantly speed up cargo flows," Putin added.
