Putin accuses Kiev of attempt to sabotage one section of TurkStream pipeline

MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of attempting to sabotage one of the sections of the TurkStream gas pipeline.
"They have committed a number of terrorist attacks and similar attempted crimes against electrical power facilities and gas transportation infrastructure in our country, including an attempt to blow up one of the sections of the TurkStream gas transmission system. All this is proven by impartial evidence, including the testimony of the detained perpetrators of these terrorist attacks themselves," Putin said at a meeting with permanent members of Russia’s Security Council on Monday.
The President recalled that Russia’s representatives are not allowed to investigate the causes of explosions and the destruction of international gas transportation systems running along the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
"But we are all well aware of the ultimate beneficiary of this crime," he said.
Putin noted that "by its actions the Kiev regime has actually put itself on the same level as international terrorist groups, with the most sinister cliques."
"It is simply impossible to leave crimes of this kind unanswered," the head of state stressed.
On September 22, the FSB of Russia announced the prevention of a terrorist attack on a gas pipeline that supplies energy to Turkey and Europe. Back then the security service did not specify the pipeline. It is known that the attack was planned by an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on orders from the Ukrainian special services.
The TurkStream gas pipeline consists of two strings. One of them is intended for gas supplies to consumers in Turkey and the other one for delivering gas to South and Southeastern European countries.
