MOSCOW, October 4. /TASS/. American video streaming company Twitch is facing two new fines of 8 million rubles ($135,392) for refusal to remove false data about a special military operation in Ukraine.

TASS was informed about it by an official of the Peace of Court Section No. 422, which received two relevant protocols on administrative offenses.

"The court received two protocols against Twitch Interactive, Inc. under part 2 article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (failure of the owner of a website to delete information if the obligation to delete such information is included in the legislation of the Russian Federation). According to them, the company faces a maximum penalty in the form of a fine of 8 million rubles," the court said.

The court is to consider the protocols on October 18, 2022.

The court added that the reason for compiling the protocols was the publication of a new interview with Ukrainian Presidential Aide Alexey Arestovich, as well as a video with a speech by one of the Ukrainian military experts.

Earlier Twitch was fined for 3 mln rubles ($50,854) and 4 mln rubles ($67,770) for posting two streams with an interview Arestovich gave to former lawyer Mark Feigin (registered as a foreign agent).

Since July 14, the Russian authorities have taken enforcement measures against Twitch for not deleting illegal information: search engines inform users about the company's violation of Russian law. The measures taken against Twitch will be in effect until the company completely eliminates violations of Russian law, the media watchdog reported earlier. Earlier, the peace court in Moscow also fined Twitch 2 million rubles ($33,885) for refusing to localize the data of Russian users in the Russian Federation.
